The Club

Infrastructure :

Several modifications have been made to the club interiors to upgrade the facilities to keep pace with the present times.

The club office has been overhauled completely and now has a modern look with individual work stations and cubicles for the office staffs.

The gymnasium, long standing demand of the members, has been given a new look with complete replacement of the old equipment with latest machines. The gym has been relocated back to its previous site opposite the dressing room – a space for a short period known as the POOL room.

The facilities and interiors of the ladies toilet too have been upgraded.

The family room is now known as the Lounge

The dining room bears a new look with the interiors having been touched up.

The kitchen too has been given a work over.

A new bamboo structure fully sponsored by M/S United Spirits and named as Royal Challenge Lounge has come up adjacent to the famed lawns of the club. It resembles a room and is affectionately called ‘no.54’.our new eating and relaxing joint. Soon, it will be club’s Fast food cafeteria with Barbecued food in Winters.

To reiterate, six out of the eight hard courts are lit, along with both synthetic courts.

Club Members :

There are several category of members at the club. These are :

3. ORDINARY MEMBERS
4. STUDENT MEMBERS
5. NON PLAYING ASSOCIATE MEMBERS

Shri Bikash Ranjan Bhatacharyya; the Mayor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation, a renowned lawyer, social worker and intellectual; was made the first Patron Member of the club. A salver of his Membership was presented to him at the Prize Distribution Ceremony on 20 September 2008 of Calcutta Hard Court Tennis Tournament, where he was the Chief Guest, on behalf of the club by the past President Mr. Naresh Kumar. To have the active participation of the Senior Officials of KMC, he can also nominate five of them by 15th. December of every year for Annual Membership.

There are at present 21 staffs on the rolls of the club. Their categorizations is as here below :
